In your opinion, if one were to compile an
introduction or "primer" to WWII-era aircraft
radio communication equipment, intended to
introduce those unfamiliar with such sets to them,
which sets would you include? The list would not
be "U.S.-centric" i.e. it would include the U.K.
TR9, Australian AT5/AR8, German FuG series, etc.
Since it's an introduction, one wouldn't include
rare, seldom-or-never-deployed sets. Japanese
equipment is a particular issue, since it was used
in such a "hodge-podge" and spotty manner.
Russian information is also scarce, though some of
our members may be aware of Russian systems that
were widely deployed and are worth mentioning to a
"beginner."
Here's a preliminary list:

HF:
TR9
R1155/T1154
SCR-183/-283
GF/RU
GP-*
ATA/ARA
SCR-274N
SCR-287 (BC-375, BC-348)
AN/ARC-2
AN/ARC-5
AN/ARC-8 (ART-13, BC-348)
ATB/ARB
RAX
ATD
FUG (HF)
TCS
AT5/AR8

VHF:
TR-(I forget- VHF replacement
for the TR9 and pattern for the SCR-522)
SCR-522
AN/ARC-5 VHF
ARC-1
AN/ARC-3
ARC-4
FuG (VHF)

Light and Ferrying Aircraft equipment
RCA
Lear

Your suggestions solicited.
