As for the front panel damage I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to acquire some strays w/good panels but otherwise some what derelict. Best I remember there's 9 rivets that hold it in place and they drill out pretty easily and can be refitted w/standard pop rivets. It's not absolutely prefect but it's not a bad way to go if you have the spare parts.
