Ha ha! I don't have to ask why: I KNOW why! :-)

Anyway, I have several scopes here at the moment. A couple of old military versions of the 
7000 series Tek's, an HP 12-something, which works very well. It is my main bench scope. 
And I have the two Tek 24xx types, the 2467B working (mostly - channel two is out), and the 
2465B which shows no trace, but goes completely through its turn-on check. I suspect the 
blanking is locked on.

I also have a couple of very old scopes stored away. I hate to simply toss them.

And I have at least two of those cute very small military scopes with the slanted screens. I 
forget the model numbers. Military versions of the commercial "PocketScope". Neat units.
