Radio Shack used to sell batteries in a green color scheme called "Enercell Extra Life" with a "Miracle Seal." "Custom Manufactured in Japan for Radio Shack." I have a C and a 9v on the shelf that were used up, like, 10years ago or more & still look brand new. If we could find out who made those for them we may be onto something.

Subject: [ARC5] Batteries That Do Not Corrode?

Anybody found any AAA, AA, C, D, dry cell batteriesthat do not tend to corrode and ruin the flashlight, camera, radio. etc. wherethey are installed. I am getting quite tired of encountering thatproblem over and over again.

I have been using CVS batteries for years becausemy Mom had to visit the drugstore pretty often. Those batteries corrode.

I still recall when the Eveready company usedto boast that their batteries would not corrode and they would replace any flashlight that they damaged.

Thanks!
