The are typically designed for 100 or 115 Hz, so unless they were originally
made with a second primary for lines operation (as tube type CBs and older
amateur VHF rigs sometimes were), there is likely not enough iron or copper
to allow operation on 50/60 Hz.

Subject: [ARC5] Vibrator Power Supplies

Today I dismantled on old Lear aircraft radio power supply to use the
chassis for something else.

Are vibrator power supply transformers likely to work well on 60 HZ or are
they designed to use higher frequencies?

Thanks,

Wayne
