Yes indeed - fresh eyes and a clear(er) head can make all the difference.
That's the only thing that saved me the few times I won.
But I agree - it's the gremlins. And I have proof.
When we moved in 2016 from NC to northern VA and I cleared all the big
transmitters, tables, piles of crap out of my pseudo garage-station,
numerous screws, star washers, and other tiny bits that had been lost
despite all attempts magically reappeared almost exactly where they had
been lost. It was as if the gremlins knew the game was over - for now.
"Okay, we won - here's your stuff back, see you next time".
What else could explain it? I spent hours looking, moving, sweeping -
seldom with any success.
I even employed special....words/language - to no avail.
They're waiting now, as I type this, for the game to be joined.
