Many years ago, I got one through MARS and thought it was a very interesting rig. I have 
another one now....which I paid about $100.00 for.

As is usual with many eBay sellers, his asking price is way out of line.

The big trouble with the ARC-2 is that the selectivity is very broad and it is pretty much 
impossible to effectively easily fix that.

Most of those were installed in larger military transport aircraft such as the C-47.

I've always liked the rig. Designed by Collins.

As you say, it almost amounts to an "ARC-5" transmitter and a BC-348 receiver all jammed 
into one box with autotune.

Neat rig.
