[ARC5] Prelim comments on a DC - DC B+ converter.

Folks,

It is easily possible to build SMPS units whose output and inputs are
isolated from each other. The usual method is to send the feedback via
an opto-isolator (an led and a phototransistor in the same package).

Peace,

Scott

If my view is correct then the common connection between primary side and secondary side of the PSU will NOT allow series connection because the feed-back circuit ALSO shares the same common line. Some separation (eg optical feedback) is necessary to wire the output voltages in series.
