[ARC5] Scott receiver

Has anyone restuffed those bathtubs? I'm just wondering what toxic stuff lurks inside.
I got an RCH for a great price a few years ago. The seller, who was technically savvy, said he just couldn't get the set to play no matter what he did, but I bought it anyway. I got it home, and figured my first step should be to test the tubes. It turns out the prior owner had inadvertently switched two tubes. Once they were in their correct sockets, the set played like a dream. It was a good reminder that troubleshooting should always include checking the really simple, obvious and basic things, too.

Yes. Same here. Seems like ALL the "bathtub" caps in those things go bad.
