Good evening Waldo,
I caught your post about the Deer Park, WA NDB. About where is Deer Park, and what is the NDB frequency?
I live in Aloha, OR ( a suburb of Portland ), and I can get a beacon that sends “ PND “; and it is located at about
450 KHz, I think. Can I receive your beacon down here? Interesting discussion that is on our email list(s) about military radio equipment.
Best,

Hi Liles,
Deer Park, WA is about 20 miles north of Spokane. The NDB at Deer Park is at the Deer Park airport (DEW) and transmits at 365 kHz with 50 watts with an ID of DPY. From Aloha, OR you should be able to receive Moses Lake, WA at 408 kHz with ID MW (it is pretty strong) and you may be able to hear Deer Park. DPY has been received in CA, AZ, TX, MT, WA, and BC. Good listening. You will be using a Command Set receiver won't you?
