At the risk of going tangential, the standard Q-5er (ARC-5 or 274N) will
do just fine with the BC-348. As WA2EJT points out in Electric Radio,
one can loose couple the IF of the BC-348 to the Q-5er (at the beginning
of the IF chain/grid cap) and tune the Q-5er to approx. 405 kHz. (
910kHz/2=455kHz, 455kHz-50kHz=405kHz) I have that setup here on two
ARC-8s Works slicker than... well, you all know what!
