I would say that it's obvious. I don't know what the "standard" aircraft
antenna was but whatever it was, the same one had to be used on all of the
transmitters. Note that the lowest outout is with the lowest frequency
transmitter and the highest with the highest. Only at the higher frequencies in
the larger aircraft would you approach or exceed a quarter-wavelength.
