You're probably right.  It's like the recent PC spate of street and school 
renaming's here in Houston simply because the person that they were named 
for fought for the Confederacy.  

However, I have seen work that looked every bit as bad that was apparently 
done within the past 10 years.  So an ocassional reminder of things not to 
do can be beneficial.  So if If you think that the butchery gene is extinct, 
you're wrong.
