My guess is that it's frequency dependent, with the output power rating being greater for the higher frequency units. I've noticed this before. I have all five ATA units, plus some spares, yet I have never thought to see if the nameplate output power rating increase with frequency is consistent in that trend. I have been away from my home and won't be back until end-of-week. I'll check later this week. That's the only guess I have. I don't even have an ARA/ATA manual where I am now.
