Loran-C was decommissioned 10 or 15 years ago so your set is not useful now. I have 4 or 5 units myself. There is experimental work going on (mostly east coast) with eLoran. I don't know if the C units will be adaptable if the E ever goes operational. I flew Loran-C for many years and it was easy to use and as accurate as GPS when the SA was used for the first few years GPS was operational.

Folks,
A retired co-worker gave me a LORAN C set from his sailboat with antenna and a packet of documentation.
What's it good for?
I have not powered it up.(12V).
Thanks in advance for any info.
