[ARC5] Using a BC-451-A with an MD-7 modulator instead of a C-29

Tom, I didn't see that mod, but looking at the schematics, it appears that the biggest ELECTRICAL differences are the plugs themselves. Otherwise it is a pin# to pin# match with the exception of pins  5 and 6 which are used differently and should be  left unused in both units anyway. If all others are connected, you will gain the mike and key jack which are provided via the modulator plug but unused in the c-29.
There are mike and key jacks available on the MD-7 modulator itself, however, so maybe that's why they were not included on the c-29?

And not only that you get the mic and key jacks available atthe box, too.  Which is not true with the C-29.
Wow ... I've been trying for years to put together an ARC-5Rx, Tx system using racks, and couldn't because I didn'thave C-29.  Now that's no longer a problem.
Many thanks Robert for the info.73,-Tom  KE4RHH
