Well, whether or not that capacitor is shorted, open, or working properly does not effect the 
audio output level noticably. With it shorted, there will be a TAD more output, with it open, 
audio quality suffers, and the output level falls ever so slightly, but otherwise, I have not 
noticed much difference.
