I can also add that the RB-36 at the Castle Air Museum (old Castle AFB)
has the racks for the AN/ARC-3, with the unconnected
cables dangling. No equipment on the racks, however. I didn't have a
chance to look in the cockpit, too many people in there.
At the same open cockpit day, I saw a complete AN/ARC-3 (with radios) in
the C-46.
Castle holds periodic "open cockpit" days., but it has been 5 years or
more since I was able to get to one.
