Yes. Ordinarily, since most un-informed hams who even think of the radios covered in this 
forum think they are all the same, I include "ARC-5" within parens to indicate that it is a 
"generic" term, at least to them.

I have heard that they sometimes were, but most certainly, not often.

The 2.1 to 3.0 MHz transmitter is, of course, ONLY the Navy radio. I think it is the 
T-18/ARC-5, if I am not mistaken. Amongst that strange collection of T-15, T-16, T-17, then 
T-18...

What other Army (Air Forces) radio, either receiver or transmitter, would be able to cover 
that range? I can't think of one.
