[ARC5] Replacement FT-230As?

There are plenty of us out here that have ARC-5
and SCR-274N receivers that are missing the
front plate of the FT-230A.
Has anyone had a chance to ask a metal shop
what it would cost to run a batch of 100 replica
FT-30A faces.
If they could be done for a reasonable price,
then folks could buy them and use them as they
wish. Drill them to put in a phone jack, switch and
pot, for example. Or do whatever.
I don't have the contacts, and was wondering if one
of you do?
And while we were at it, would this same metal shop
at a reasonable price cut a run of 100 covers to fit
over the 1625's in the command transmitters? I
believe if you use a small cotter pin or small hitch pin,
the cover would stay put. Not original, but certainly
would look better than nothing at all. And would be
definitely a lot safer when power is applied.

The switch panel is actually one of the two types of FT-260-A's that were produced during the war.? To add insult to injury, some previous owner evidently used it in a receiver that was modified, requiring a need to file a semicircular shaped relief on the right side of the FT-260-A front panel.? It might have been because of a need to run wires from the inside of the receiver through the gap.? Hard to say at this point.? In any case, not really worth a second look unless someone is desperate.?
