Good eye! I went blind to the whole thing after I saw the price, though. That makes it waaaay too much money for the condition.
He's got an application for a local control in his bookshelf SCR 274 collection. He should keep it.Four days to go, we'll see what happens.

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, the seller has mislabeled the auction details because of a rear cover swapped from an FT-230-A.  The switch panel is actually one of the two types of FT-260-A's that were produced during the war.  To add insult to injury, some previous owner evidently used it in a receiver that was modified, requiring a need to file a semicircular shaped relief on the right side of the FT-260-A front panel.  It might have been because of a need to run wires from the inside of the receiver through the gap.  Hard to say at this point.  In any case, not really worth a second look unless someone is desperate.

With all the interest in the local control adapters, I slapped up a quick web page with photos on the subject - http://aafradio.org/flightdeck/Command_Set_Local_Control_Adapters.html
  - it shows what an unmodified bare aluminum FT-260-A should look like.

162134338377 Looks like the same guy had a "no sale" the first time at $150 start bid, so he decided to start at $174 this time. I like this stuff, but not THAT much!!!!  Apparently, others feel the same way .

Will he sell it? The saga continues...
