Isn't the T-shaped slot for the NEMA 5-20 series plugs and receptacles, which are rated for 20 amp service?

I once purchased a PRC-made power strip that had some unusual features. It had a tiny built in meter and also the power receptacles had one of the slots in a T shape. Apparently it was designed to be able to use some type of power plug that uses a T or L shaped blade.
