I once purchased a PRC-made power strip that had some unusual features. It had a tiny built in meter and also the power receptacles had one of the slots in a T shape. Apparently it was designed to be able to use some type of power plug that uses a T or L shaped blade.
And the blasted thing was absolutely terrible! Plugging in a standard US 120V power plug meant it simply would not fit tight enough to make good contact. A slight glance or a few cursewords (of which there were many in use) were alone sufficient to cause the plug to simply fall out of the receptacle, even when horizontal on a workbench. I don't know if this was a consequence of attempting to make it a universal power strip for various kinds of plugs employed across multiple countries or just poor fabrication. I finally dismantled the thing and threw most of it away. The power cord was lengthy and quite supple and thus probably will be of use in the future.
