[ARC5] bogus E-Mails

Until fairly recently, I was very involved in politics here in Collin County, Texas (northern side of Dallas).  I was on first name basis with a lot of politicians.  In fact, am still on first name basis with several.  The State Legislature Representative, for 20-years, lives 5-blocks from me and his younger daughter, and my middle daughter, were best friends from 1st grade all the way through high school.  I have known my Congressman, Sam Johnson, for a long time and get invites from him at least every month to attend small meetings about all sorts of things.  I know the senior Senator from Texas, John Cornyn but have never even met the junior Senator, Ted Cruz.

A former senior Senator, Phil Gramm, nominated me for appointment as one of the FCC Commissioners under President George H. W. Bush.  I made it until the last round which was all Washington, DC, lawyers!  Still, I felt honored by even being nominated!

I have met every President from Eisenhower through George W. Bush except for Kennedy and have not met the current present President.  My wife, and I, get Christmas cards, every year, from Sam Johnson and George W. Bush.  I was chosen to accompany President George H. W. Bush at a Texas Republican convention one year, and so forth.

As such, I am pretty much well informed as to how the political scene unfolds at least in this part of the country.  There are truly honest politicians but, especially at the local level, you are definitely correct about having politicians that are the "best that money can buy"!

Hello Glen, How can you complain so much? I think I speak for the 95.7% of the rest of the world when I say that Americans get the best politicians that money can buy.
