Yes, you can spot them out on the kerb every year during the annual
inorganic collection. Or you can get them from Salvation Army or other
charity shops for a song. I knew they had HV transformers, but thought they
didn't deliver much current?

Yes, PP appeals to me too. I was thinking of a dual bander 80/40, but the
BC-230 might spend most of its time on the 40m AM net. Pulling out and
changing that coil unit is a pain.
