Yes, it is the 1.3 to 2.1 MC/s transmitter. Very few were apparently made
and probably far fewer were actually deployed.
VERY rare item and can cover the 160 Meter ham band without great modification.
That's the reason for the high selling price!
I was prepared to go to $200 or $250, but had little confidence it would go that cheaply!
They MAY come up for sale a couple of times per year! The T-16 transmitter is even rarer!

I looked at this and went back to the original
listing. It appears to be an ARC-5 Transmitter, not a microphone.
The price is probably still outrageous. If there was a microphone
involved I've missed it somehow. I have a T-17 mic somewhere, I
think mine was made by Shure Brothers. It works after a fashion.
Sometimes baking the element will restore carbon mics but more
often you need to replace the carbon. Fresh carbon can often be
obtained from old telephone microphones but it doesn't always
work.
