Actually, with the present peak power limit of 1500-watts, and using the figure 4 times carrier power for peak AM output at 100% modulation, the maximum carrier power, with 100% modulation, is 375-watts. Glen, K9STH Website: http://k9sth.net

Most probably...

Well, yes it is. At least the FCC sure thinks it does.... !!! This is the reason 
the power limit for AM now is 275 watts. This figures to around 1100 watts 
(275 X 4, roughly) PEP according to the FCC's reckoning. Many AM 
affciandos vehemently disagree with that though.
