[ARC5] Chinese switching converters

It won't help, unless you regulate to a much lower voltage. The power
supply just simply doesn't have good enough dynamic regulation to be used at
it specified ratings. I just don't want to see people waste their money on
these things, by the time you add enough circuitry to make them work, you
might as well roll your own. I would go with a much higher switching
frequency anyway. There are eval board from the like of Analog Devices, TI,
and Maxim that will get you most of the way there.

Good Afternoon Scott,
You could try a MOSFET Regulator. It may help with the ripple and
any voltage reulation issues.
