You'll have some people roll their eyes and "poo poo" the idea
but at this point, Neil, there's just as much hard evidence for
that
as there is for any other idea (meaning none ;-). I got one
story
from a Navy vet long ago that small aircraft would orbit near
bypassed Japanese-held islands and broadcast "surrender"
messages. I doubt that's why these were made; the ERP is
too low for that sort of mission. But until something can be
documented, stories and theory is all we have.
And it's good to remember-
the "eye-rollers" have had to "eat crow" a few times ;-)
