Agreed the -130s were a 1926 radio, but I have documents 
from 1931-32 that name the SCR-130 series as being 
current issue at that time.  Remember 
between 1926 and 1935, there wasn't a lot of money 
available to the Army for essentials, much less new radios.
SCR-183, born from Stomberg/A.R.C.'s "model D"
in 1932 was a big leap forward in Army aircraft radio.

I'm working on a reply to that that "SCR-183
was lower quality" blasphemy ;-)
