This BC453 works very well now that it has proper B+. I think it might give a modern rig a run for it's money.I have found NAV beacons out in the midwest , down south and several in Canada. As far as I know, none of them run more than 100W , 25W is typical. There was an actual Ham QSO around 472KHZ which took me by surprise.  Most US Ham activity is limited to CW beacons, presently. The Australians are using WSPR, but I don't think anyone in the US is doing that on 600.
The broadcast portion is full of foreign and domestic stations, many piled on top of each other. I don't think it's a selectivity issue because I've got the rods pulled up in the IF cans.Just evening propagation ?
It's going to be interesting to listen during the Event of November 13-14 to hear how many US stations participate.
For some reason that I can't explain, I want to apply for one of those experimental licenses. Pehaps it's the opportunity to play with "antenna contraptions" for this band. Fractals anyone?
