We would beg to differ ! <wink>

The WW2 Gato Class USS COD SS-224 here in Cleveland is the finest WW2
submarine in existence anywhere in the world.

No stairs, doors or ladders added for the public access.

The only way in and out if through her original crew hatches and vertical
ladders.

Most all of the radio room is in working order (except for the TBL-7).

Our TDC, (torpedo data computer) has been completely rebuilt.

The Hi-Cap air compressors have been rebuilt.

And three of the four main engines now run.

For those interested, I have a number of videos posted on Youtube at

https://www.youtube.com/user/ka8vit/videos

Scroll down to the older ones for a look at the radio room.

There is also a three part, 25-minute tour of the boat.

If you're even going to be in the Cleveland, Ohio, area, and would
like to tour the radio room (it is normally off-limits to crew and visitors)
or operate HF from the radio room, please feel free to get a hold of me
directly at: ka8vit at ka8vit.com
