I know a fellow who did DXCC with a push-pull pair of 211s in a TNT
configuration within the last three years.
To me, it is a gigantic kick using "ancient" gear to work the fellows with the
multi-kilo-buck rigs and giant antennas.
It is just plain pure fun.
I get the same kick out of as I did with my 1953 Hudson Hornet which was a
real "sleeper". I also remember, while living in Missoula, Montana, an old
fellow who wore bib-overalls who would drive some sort of ancient Ford 4
door sedan which had chicken-crap all over the top of the back-seat. He had
"worked on" the flat-head V-8 in it, and would routinely shut down all the
young punks who were driving Daddy's Chevys.
Great fun.
Keep up the good work! :-)
