A few years back, probably at the annual K4OZY July 4th gathering I was
chatting with Nick/K4NYW and JP about Nick's early radio site presence on
the 'net, boat anchors, the original BA listserv, and the topic of Larry
came up. I think Nick stayed in touch with him somewhat over the years as
he said then that Larry had lost interest in radio (National or otherwise)
and gotten into old cars and I *think* vintage racing, rallying, something.
Can't recall if it involved old Healeys, Mustangs, whatever, but he was
heavily into it and enjoying it as he had the radio interest from what Nick
said.
As to Forster, all I can say is he was never very healthy any of the times
I saw him at NEAR-Fest or anywhere else. He wasn't very pleasant to be
around or deal with, which I suspect is why no one has more information.
Probably best to leave it at that.
Wonder if you've heard anything from Carl/KM1H in recent months? Last I
knew he was having ISP problems. Didn't see him at NEAR-Fest when we were
up there last Oct, but we were only there maybe 4 hours Friday afternoon.
He sometimes didn't show up until Saturday.
