[ARC5] AM and SSB Use

I believe that in the 60's, the DoD was still using both modes, 
especially those where civil assets might be included.  The USCG 
interfaced, of course, with the civil fleet so one could expect them to 
have both modes.  My ART-13A came from a NASA aircraft based at Moffit.  
When did NASA get thier new name as a date clue?  At any rate,  I think 
we have a Coastie commo-type  in this group.  Maybe he can shed some light?
