 But....weren't they telling us just a few years back that in a matter of a few years snow would become rare and that perhaps the next generation might grow up without knowing what it was? And that warmer oceans would lead inevitably to more and worse hurricanes, then reversed that story when they hurricanes didn't get worse?

There's some funny things going on about the climate, but not all of them are climatological.
