First, relative to the SB-301 restoration:
Phil is that ALL you need? Seems like a rather extensive list. I do have a SB-401 VFO that I have never tried to fire up. I had half an idea of trying to use it in a HW-100 that needs some work.
Second, as to Ken's mysterious dynamotors. I looked in the "bible" (1973 Fair Radio Catalog) and did not see any of the many dynamotors they have listed for sale there with those characteristics. The TCS dynos are there and they ain't it. In fact, any in the 600V range are rather limited., There is a Carter 12V in and 650V/300MA out, a DMF-519H 28V in and 630V/500ma out, DM-35 and DM-37, which are 12 or 24v in and 625V/225ma out, VRC-2 with 5.5V in and 600V/175ma out.
Don't see anything in the 1974 G&G Catalog either.
As for mobile power supplies in general, I have a big transformer out of a RCA Carfone vibrator power supply. It doesn't do too well as a LV DC supply but maybe with some suitable transistors it would make a decent 12VDC to HV B+ supply.
