[ARC5] Need Help with Variac Diagnosis

Thankfully my Variac is puny at about one amp. I only intend to use it
for a variable power supply to tickle something akin to a megger and
maybe for a curve tracer. For radios I like bucking transformers to
knock down the excessive voltage.
