We're having another dreaded Beautiful Winter - occasional fog, but relatively warm and sunny. Going to be an ugly summer for the fish and firefighters unless The Deluge begins soon. We are in the grips of the Triple-R: Ridiculously Resilient Ridge. It's a hi pressure cell that deflects our weather east. That's why y'all getting the Double Whammy. Getting your winter plus ours.

I've had decent luck on 40 out west just before dusk and after dawn. 80 is good for about 1 hour, then MUF drops into the Broadcast Band most nights by 2030. 160 appears to be inactive most nights. Occasional SSB, faint CW. no nibbles when I call CQ.

Debugged my WRL 680-A for the NRR. no contacts, but felt good getting it running after a year on the shelf.

Cheers!
