[ARC5] The ARC 5 repackaged - heresy or hot rod tinkering?

I picked one up off of FleeBay that someone had started. It's on my to do
list for this winter. Most of the mechanical work has been done. So I
will strip out what's there and start from scratch. When this project was
first put out, most Amateurs had rack mounted equipment, so it was just a
way of keeping it all in one place. I do agree that the radio itself is
small enough to fit just about any ware. I do have rack mounted radio,
this will fill a vacant spot in one rack. I would not take a radio that
could be easily rebuilt or unmodified to do this. But if a hacked radio
or radios are to be used, better to have something working then a pile of
parts.
