Be careful on two accounts:

1) Yesterday I priced the Greenlee punch that’s the right size for the IEC chassis line cord connectors - the ones we find on computers and peripherals. Price was $533.00, and not in stock. The ones for square, D shapes, 25- and 50-pin connector sizes, and larger sizes for meters are similarly priced. Please avoid shocks to your system from hoping to buy an odd shaped Greenlee punch.

2) The hole punches used by electricians are SIZED DIFFERENTLY compared to the ones we want to have for tube socket hole making. The Conduit size 3/4 is meant for steel conduits of 3/4 inch *ID*, and the fittings for them to boot. It makes a hole BIGGER than 3/4 inch. Do not be confused. At a hamfest, I bought a set made in Japan that turned out to be conduit sized. It’s not that they are useless, but they do not make the size hole I would think from the markings, and they do not make the holes sized just right for tube sockets.

Yours for good hole making,

Roy
