[ARC5] Question on receivers...

The tube type is indicated on the tube cover, not the radio chassis.  Is the nomenclature plate missing from the tube cover?  It would be more likely that the receiver is a BC-453-* (or even an ARA CBY/CCT-46129) that has the tube cover from an AN/ARC-5 receiver (minus its nomenclature plate) installed on it.  Or...maybe the wrong tube 12SK7 has been installed on an AN/ARC-5 receiver where a 12SF7 SHOULD be.   Post-WWII ham "literature" on "commands sets" was almost without exception very poor on technical accuracy.
