Folks,

Having seen that Randy could not only send mail with attachments but
also that HTML embedded code is now allowed, we wiil see an enormous
increase in data per mail.

Not everyone knows how to manage their mail clients, if used in the
first place. Many think their Internet Browser is their mail programme.

I personally don't care, I do not read my mail on mobile devices, I use
a mail client that downloads mail, then deletes it on the server of my
ISP (POP3 protocol) and I have a flat-fee account on a fair use policy.
My download speed is more than 5 megabytes per second. But... I doubt if
everybody that reads this list has the same sort of account.

Years back there was a big issue on whether or not to use these
techniques but the battle against it was lost. Mailman.qth.net was one
of the last frontiers I suppose. To lots a blessing perhaps but I sure
hope they will revert this decision...

I wish you all a healthy 2016!

73,
Peter
