[ARC5] Posting photos

Regarding photos - I regularly 'shrink' photos that I post overseas.
I bring the size down: This is what I observe:
    Width Files size
     2560 big
       900 close to 250k
       750 185k
705 mono 177k ( I expected to see larger difference
       between mono and colour)
       600 pixels 136k (colour)

I use software called IRFANVIEW to do change photo size. (IRFANVIEW is
a primitive but basic photo editor. Free.)
Some basic features (modify size, see next file in folder, save to
folder) make the process easy for a handful of photos.
Example: tap the space bar to see the next file in a folder.
Open/select and a thumb-nail window shows the photo of interest. This
is great when looking at one dozen files from a camera with only a date
and incremental number.

Handy software, not fancy. PLUS - it has a very functional
'screen-grabber'.
