As far as receive knobs go, I'm good in that department. I have all original spinner types ( #6743). certain spline old "all American 5 knobs do work ,  too, which I use on the 'spares". I was thinking that there might be a power/vol/on-off MASTER control for RX like they had for the TX in the BC-451. I'm OK with with making a panel. I may even be able to squeeze a mini toggle on the hacked box plates. Hopefully it will be able to handle the dyno surge current!

Another quite usable local tuning knob is one of the plastic knobs that
used to be common on AC-DC radios and the like.  The ones that were push-on
onto the splined volume control posts.  These have no backlash.  The only
drawback to them is appearance and usually the wierd color.
