2A3 tubes are some of the hardest tubes to test, even with the high end Hickok testers, due to their low voltage/high current filament requirements. The audio chaps pay very respectable prices for them.

Subject: [ARC5] "ARC-5" Market Value - It's Crazy

Well, speaking of Crazy - I just sold - for a friend - on ebay, a single plate engraved base 2A3 RCA Cunningham tube for $227.50 to a gentleman in Australia.  I had no idea it was that valuable when I listed it for $29.00 opening bid.  It was not even tested other than to check the filament for continuity.

I have another 2A3 to sell for my friend.  It's a later dual plate model and is not a Cunningham, so it won't go for as much, I guess.
