Yep. A fellow brought quite a load of mil and Collins gear to the Cedar
Rapids hamfest from his father's estate. Prices were toward the high
side but the gear was very clean and if hammified, very nicely done. A
buddy bought some ARC-5 gear including the three transmitters on rack
and a control box in shiny aluminum finish that looked like the day it
was made. He didn't say what he paid but marked prices on receivers
were in the $55-75 range, and I think he paid $150 for the only BC-348
with dynamotor intact. The complete TCS set with dynamotor for a
little under $300 was tempting. The same guy also bought a
mint-looking BC-611 and I hope he had to pay a small fortune for it
;-) The point is that nice gear will bring a premium, even to those
who own or have owned tons of it.
