Fine. I got my B+ wy back when from a Burgess B battery used in the All-American 5 tube portable radio.

I'm the original poster (blame all this on me). I operate mine from a
pair of 12 volt, sealed, lead-acid batteries. B+ from ten, 9-volt batteries.
