A couple of books that some may find interesting.

Secret Weapon by Kathleen Broome Williams
This one is specifically about the "U.S. High-Frequency
direction finding in the Battle of the Atlantic". It
has been a few years since I read it, historical and
    not too technical.

The Radar War by David Pritchard.
About German Radar development in WWII. this book
assumes the reader has some technical knowledge, it
gives frequencies, powers, PRF, and some simplified]
     schematic diagrams.

Messenger Gods of Battle by Tony Devereux
This is also mainly a history book, does not
     delve too deeply into technology.

The Invention That Changed the World by Robert Buderi
Written about the people involved in the development of
Radar, and how their involvement shaped their future
     accomplishments.

There is another book about German radar development, but
I loaned it to a friend, and his house burned down in a forest fire.
Can't remember the title.

Happy reading.
