As Robert Downs pointed out, they ain't makin' any more of 'em, and that 
one could be rebuilt without all that much trouble.

Mike Hanz rebuilt a dynamotor some time ago that was a rusted hulk. When 
he got finished with it, it looked, literally NEW and worked accordingly.

I believe he has the story, with photos, on his website somewhere.

I was VERY impressed when I saw it.
